  - Tai Chi is a martial art that emphasizes slow, controlled movements and deep breathing. It’s often practiced for its health benefits, including improved balance, flexibility, and mental clarity. 


  - Qigong is a holistic practice that combines movement, meditation, and breathing exercises. It focuses on cultivating and balancing energy (Qi) in the body to promote overall well-being. 


 - Yes! Both practices are accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. They can be adapted for individuals with different physical abilities.  


 - Benefits include improved balance and coordination, reduced stress and anxiety, enhanced flexibility, better posture, and overall physical and mental wellness.


-Sign up for our 8 week beginner course where our qualified instructor will coach you through the foundational movements safely and progressively each week


- You will complete the basics in our eight week course, but mastery is a lifelong journey. Regular practice will deepen your understanding and skills over time.


 - No special equipment is required. Comfortable clothing and supportive shoes are recommended. 


- Focus on mastering basic movements, maintaining proper posture, and developing your breath control. Patience and mindfulness are essential.


 - Yes! Both practices incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques that can significantly reduce stress and promote a sense of calm. 


 - Generally low-risk, but as with any physical activity, it’s important to listen to your body and consult a healthcare professional if you have any pre-existing conditions. 


 - Absolutely! Many people enjoy practicing outdoors for the fresh air and natural surroundings, which can enhance the experience.  


  


Our Instructor

Jai Tao


With over 35 years of experience in martial arts, including Chinese internal styles, Shaolin disciplines, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Our instructor brings a deep, diverse knowledge to his classes. Raised as a Buddhist, his journey has included formal Buddhist education and extensive meditation practice both here and abroad. He has studied extensively in China, India, Nepal, and Thailand, deepening his understanding of both Taoist and Buddhist philosophies.


Our instructor's teaching reflects a down-to-earth, practical approach, aimed at integrating these ancient practices into modern Western life, making them accessible and meaningful for today’s world.
